Blue Faced Borelli Cichlid

This fish arrives from Singapore and other Asian breeders as the Blue Faced Borelli cichlid. However, it lacks the large sailfin of true Borelli, and this particular colour form is undocumented in the wild. This fish is either a heavily developed, line-bred fish (like many of the familiar Apistos), or potentially a hybrid. It is similar to the "Steel Blue" Apisto in the hobby, though with more intense blue on the face, and less on the body.
Like a lot of the farmed Apistos from Asia, these fish tend to run male heavy. They are hardy and peaceful, typical of most Apistos.
These fish mix well with other small, peaceful fish, such as Glowlight Danios, Hatchetfish, Pencilfish, and Pseudomugil spp. rainbowfishes.
