Steel Blue Dwarf Cichlid

This undescribed species of Apistogramma shows up from time to time in the trade, and we were lucky enough to get a small breeding group of them. These are offspring of this group, and are mostly in the 1" size. This species has never been documented from the wild, and it likely represents a hybrid, or potentially a line-bred mutation, similar to the "electric blue" rams and acara.
Like a lot of the farmed Apistos from Asia, these fish tend to run male heavy. They are hardy and peaceful, typical of most Apistos. At this small size, it is impossible to reliably determine sex, and these fish will be sent unsexed.
These fish mix well with other small, peaceful fish, such as Glowlight Danios, Hatchetfish, Pencilfish, and Pseudomugil spp. rainbowfishes.
