Dwarf Crawfish, like this Big Claw Crayfish, in a freshwater aquarium

The Vasquesi Crawfish is an unidentified species of apparent dwarf crayfish that stays fairly small in the aquarium. Despite the large claws on this crawfish, it does not bother or eat fish, and will leave plants alone. It will need a secure hiding spot to moult in every few months, and should not be kept with aggressive, larger fish. Care should be taken when placing with slow moving, bottom dwelling fish.
