The Red Fin Leopard Pleco, Pseudacanthicus leopardus, was listed as the L114 Pleco

An incredibly beautiful pleco, the Leopard Pleco sports bright red fins with a white body covered in large black dots. We were lucky enough to get a bunch of these captive raised. While this produces a more hardy, adaptable fish, these particular Leopards are quite small, at about 2-3" currently. They won't stay that way for long!
With many Loricarids, there's a temptation to treat them as algae eaters. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. Members of the genus Pseudacanthicus are carnivorous, and while they're not predatory, they will need a lot of meat in their diet. Live blackworms, frozen bloodworms and other sinking frozen foods, sinking carnivore pellets, and items such as fresh shrimp should make up the bulk of their diet, especially when young. They will also graze some algae, and benefit from foods such as zucchini. New Era Tropical Grazers are ideal for these fish.
Keep in mind that fishes eating a high meat diet tend to produce a lot nitrogenous waste, and these fish are no exception. They are intolerant of high nitrates, so frequent large water changes are necessary. Additionally, make sure the tank is adequately filtered and that other fish in the tank are not producing a lot of waste, as well.
Ideal tank mates would include any of the large species of Rainbowfish; larger, less aggressive cichlids (e.g., Laetacara, Guinacara, etc); large barbs; tetras; and the like. Care should be taken when placing with other loricarids, as these fish may bicker with one another.
